An intuitive expression of our pursuit of excellence in craftsmanship. One part Xiangtu Jingmai Mountain old-growth material and the remaining half a two-to-one blend of our 20 & 30 year-old shouchas. Nascent aged aroma of the Xiangtu is deepened by the addition of the older material. Subtle ginseng notes display nicely throughout the liquor.
Theartwork on Xiangtu's wrapper is very special. It is a painting and poem by the Buddhist nun Ōtagaki Rengetsu created nearly one hundred and fifty years ago, reproduced here on fine Japanese gold-flecked paper. The original hangs in our Jinghong apartment. The poem, translated by John Walker:
