Nearly a decade ago, we wandered into the shop of Chen Yongjuan. Her husband, Master Wu, is a native of Yixing and comes from a small, multigenerational pottery family. Chen Yongjuan moved to Kunming in the early years of the Pu’er revival in order to learn more about local tea culture and to promote their family’s teapots. Over the years, their Baochen Tea Studio 宝晨茶空间 has applyied itself to honoring classical styles while adapting to accommodate Pu’er brewing and appreciation.
