1980s CNNP 'Jiuqing'
A late 1980s production sourced from an old Hong Kong tea family, likely their own private commission. Wrapper indicates Yunnan Tea Corporation , though this cake was actually produced by Guangdong Tea Corporation. Composed primarily of Yunnan large-leaf varietal with a lesser amount of border material. Thus, this tea is also referred to as post-Guangyungong.
Exceptionally clean inside and out – from wrapper to cake to liquor and body. … chenxiang, muxiang and yaoxiang* all present in each infusion. Due to the leaf type, lighter compression and storage style, this is not a tea of immense stamina and duration. Nonetheless, it is imbued with a light and pervasive qi and resonance that make it an affordable and edifying glimpse into the realm of fine aged tea.
