A fine example of one of the most prolific shoucha productions in Pu’er culture - Menghai Factory's ‘7572'. This version was stripped of its wrappers and broken up early in life prior to being exported to Hong Kong.
Large leaf material and full fermentation provide a broad platform for flavor development. Initial storage took place in Hong Kong before this tea returned to the mainland nearly two decades ago. Kunming's drier and cooler conditions carried this tea into a second transformation stage. Hints of aged aroma - chenxiang, and shenxiang - ginseng fragrance, reveal this tea is on the way to becoming equally as enjoyable if not surpassing its older sibling* in the coming years.
